The width of the chair is 25", and the height of the back is 36", for maximum comfort. The arms are made of kiln-dried solid hardwood, and the fabric is weather resistant and securely attached. The frame is 1" diameter aluminum tubing, extruded and drawn for extra strength. This chair collapses to make it easy to carry to the beach. This chair is one of the only chairs on the market that sits 16" off the ground. The 16" height allows for easy in and out. Recommended for a heavy set person.
