The Sting Kite is ideal for the first time kiter, with simple to control and exceptionally stable flying characteristics. The kite has a deep aerofoil section to provide good, solid power and to ensure that it does not accelerate too rapidly across the wind window. This makes the power both manoeuvrable and manageable which is great for the beginner.
For 2006 we have expanded the size range to include kites that can be used for learning the basics of buggying and kite landboarding. This is an excellent kite for first time flyers as the kites are powerful enough to get them up and running and yet the power is easy to control. An easy and exhilarating experience!
Sting Kites are available individually with the choice of two colors:
- Petrol (Petrol blue, White, Red)
- Samba (Royal Blue, White, Green)

- Improved planform: Alterations to the planform help the Sting to track through the sky, making it easier to power through the turn, and improve the performance when flown on a bar.
- New graphics: New and improved graphics which blends in with the other Flexifoil ram-air kites in 2006.
- The Sting bar: A two line control bar with safety system designed for the Sting kite. The bar is colour coded left and right and the safety system is very simple to understand, use and reset, making this bar an ideal option for people new to the sport. On letting go of the bar, the safety system pulls on one of the front lines bringing the kite down safely to the ground with no power. To relaunch the kite simply recover the bar and steer the kite off the ground. The bar comes with soft flexible bar ends for easy flying line storage, and protects the flyers hands from rubbing against the leader lines when executing sharp turns.
